S For Story/10378011
Gary Church, one of the New Wave signings from Dusty Saddle Publishing, has been one of the latest Western authors to score the number one bestselling position in the U.S.A., Canada and Australia with his third release "Good Man—Bad Enemy."

KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa. - May 22, 2019 - s4story -- Gary Church was signed by Dusty Saddle Publishing in the closing months of 2018. His first book, "Fate Rides A Tall Horse," had been on the market for years without success. By May 2019, three of his books had reached the top ten on the bestseller list, and the third had gone one step further. It hit number one on the Western charts in the United States, Canada and Australia, and could still go to number one in many other territories.

The saga tells the story of Johnny Black as he faces the trials and tribulations of a frontiersman in the Old West. In the third book, he is forced by circumstances beyond his control to sign on as trail boss for a cattle drive. On the seven-hundred-mile trip, he finds himself challenged as never before. Not only are three men from Johnny's past on his trail, intent on killing him, but death is only a heartbeat away as he deals with bad weather, frightened longhorns, and Indians, as well as a diabolical gang with a plan to kill everyone on the drive and take it over.

For most of May 2019, Church accounted for thirty percent of Western sales in the top one hundred. "This kind of success wasn't unexpected," DSP Chairman Bruce Bennett explained. "He's a great author, and we have a track record of picking authors our readership will enjoy. Scott Harris, Cherokee Parks, John Fie, Tracy Thurman, David Watts, GP Hutchinson, Robert Hanlon, and the rest have all had a splendid 2019."

A brand new Gary Church Western is expected to be released towards the middle of summer, along with new releases from several prominent Dusty Saddle authors on the schedule. "We are especially excited about 'Willy' from Scott Harris," Bennett explains. "Readers loved both his 'Caz' and 'Brock Clemon's' series and will love this new action-packed adventure series. We also have an exciting new Western romance author waiting in the wings. You're going to love her story."
