S For Story/10363911
Angelo Paul Ramunni, the founder of the open-to-the-public New England Accordion Connection & Museum Co. in Canaan, Connecticut, has just published an easy-to-read large-print book full of photographs and tender "Accordion Stories From The Heart."

CANAAN, Conn. - Jan. 23, 2019 - s4story -- Angelo Paul Ramunni, creator of the privately-operated New England Accordion Connection & Museum Company at his home in Canaan, Connecticut recently-published "Accordion Stories from the Heart."

The large-print, easy-to-read 143-page hard-covered book provides stunning photographs and loving insights into the exceptional, and sometimes tear-evoking, stories of 40+ hand-built accordions from throughout the world. His stories describe the extraordinary people who played, heard them and/or have cherished accordions over the past many decades.

Dedicated to his mother, Carmela, who informed him at age 10 that he must take accordion lessons because it is 'good, clean and wholesome', Ramunni's book fills the reader's heart with tender stories and breath-taking photographs of accordions hand-built for the past 200 years.

Created in 2011, the New England Accordion Connection & Museum Co. offers a display of 600+ stunningly beautiful highly-ornate hand-crafted accordions some of which date back to the mid/the late-1800s. Mr. Ramunni also offers an on-site shop where he repairs, buys and sells remarkable hand-crafted accordions from around-the-world, as well as offers over 10,000 pieces of sheet music and accordion-related books for sale, and lessons.

"Accordion Stories from the Heart" presents 70+ photos of spectacularly 'bling enhanced' accordions of multiple colors, some with ivory-like keyboards that Mr. Ramunni has collected over the past 11 years.

The intention of Mr. Ramunni in creating this collection of stories and photos was to, "Make it a pleasurable as well as an educational viewing experience while demonstrating how accordionists offer their personal gifts of music to the listeners. It is an accurate picture of how many accordion players connect and create lasting relationships with other people through their music."

Vienna, Austria in 1829 was where the very first 'official' accordion was patented Mr. Ramunni reveals in the "Brief History" section of his book.  He writes that "In America, the accordion became very popular across the prairies as the West was being settled and it became an integral part of many families who emigrated here from across the globe. Being portable and musically-rich with numerous mechanical reeds and sounds, it was played in happy and harrowing times of people's lives."
