Roadmaster Drivers School Combats Truck Driver Shortage With New Training Facility in Kansas City

GRANDVIEW, Mo. - May 15, 2019 - s4story -- Kansas City, MO —Roadmaster Drivers School, the nation's premier truck driving school, is combating the truck driver shortage by opening a new truck driver training facility in Grandview, Missouri. There will be a ribbon cutting at 10 am on May 18th attended by the Grandview Chamber of Commerce and the Mayor of Grandview. 101 The Fox will be broadcasting live from 9:30 am to 11:30 am. There will be free food, giveaway items, a Werner Enterprises truck, and the Operation Freedom Black Ops Truck will be on site.There will be a Mechanical Bull arena set up for competition at 9am. This is an inflatable arena with a full-size mechanical bull. Riders must sign a waiver before entering the attraction. This will be a great time to win prizes and compete against your friends to get the best times.

"The Kansas City area is an excellent location to train future professional truck drivers and help reduce the truck driver shortage," said Roadmaster School Manager Paul Thompson. "With quick access to many major trucking routes, Kansas City is less than a day's travel to many major U.S. cities."

According to the American Trucking Associations (ATA), the trucking industry is currently short approximately 63,000 drivers. By 2026, the ATA estimates that number will be nearly 175,000. Thompson says his vision is to make Roadmaster the premier truck driving school in the area by providing cost effective, quality CDL training for future generations of safe, professional truck drivers.
