Mike Mackessy, one of the most popular Outlaws Publishing authors, has been one of the latest hitmaking authors to score the number one bestselling position in the U.S.A. in three categories with his latest release "Broken Dog Ranch."

MIDLOTHIAN, Texas - s4story -- Mackessy was signed by Outlaws Publishing in mid-2018. His frontier Western novels have all been successes—but "Broken Dog Ranch" was the first to go all the way to the top of the charts.

"We're elated for Mike," Outlaws Chairman J.C. Hulsey explained late last week. "He's been working hard—and it just goes to show that a great novel always has a place on the bestseller charts."

"Broken Dog Ranch" tells the story of Clint Hunter the Mountain Man, Army scout, soldier, Texas Ranger, and friend to the Crow Indians. He has to fight to overcome high taxes, rustlers, and cheating businessmen. Clint, his family, and crew exemplify the Spirit of the West."

For the past few years, Outlaws Publishing has been turning out Western hits with increasing speed. Top selling authors like Paul L. Thompson, C. Wayne Winkle, John Buzzard, Dave Sebeslav and Mike Mackessy have made Outlaws their home.

A brand new Mike Mackessy Western is expected to be released towards the middle of summer, along with new releases from several prominent Outlaws Publishing authors on the schedule.

"We're especially excited about the new hit from C. Wayne Winkle," J.C. Hulsey explains. "His latest release, 'Tennyson St. John: The Searcher Book 1, The Return' is currently standing at number four on the charts. 'Book 2: A New Name' is scheduled to be released by the end of the month. We're hoping this will be the one to make him the next number one."
