Art After Hours: Hot August Pottery Night at The Center for Contemporary Art

BEDMINSTER, N.J. - s4story -- Come on out and get dirty with a date night in the ceramics studio at The Center for Contemporary Art in Bedminster! Couples (and singles) are invited to come out for an intimate experience of throwing on the potter's wheel. The Center's teaching artist, Jennifer Evans Arbo, will guide you through the throwing process and give you options for decorating and glazing. They will glaze, fire and package your creation for pickup.
Light refreshments will be provided.
All supplies will be provided, however, please wear or change into clothes that you don't mind getting dirty.
Tuition: Members: $69/Non-Members: $94
Jennifer Evans Arbo is a Fine Arts Ceramicist and Photographer residing in New Jersey. Originally from California, she traveled the world, living in England, Spain and Uruguay before landing on the East Coast. She has a BA and Post graduate degree from London College of Fashion and minored in Ceramics. Jennifer specializes in wheel throwing a sgraffito surface technique in her ceramics and uses the human form to tell emotional stories in clay. Jennifer shares her love of art by helping to inspire the next generation of artists. She has been teaching fashion to young adults and currently teaches beginner ceramics to adults and teens at The Center for Contemporary Art in Bedminster, NJ.
