SAN DIEGO - s4story -- From fast-moving wildfires and extreme weather to shark sightings, venomous snakes, dangerous surf conditions, toxic plants, and other unexpected hazards, many people are asking the same question before heading outdoors:
"What should I be watching out for?"
A new app currently in development, What Can Kill Me™, is designed to help answer that question.
What Can Kill Me™ is an interactive, location-based safety platform that allows users to discover, report, and share hazards they encounter in the real world. Whether you're hiking, camping, traveling, boating, surfing, or simply exploring a new area, the app is being built to provide real-time awareness of potential dangers nearby.
The platform is designed to help users identify hazards such as:
Unlike traditional navigation apps, What Can Kill Me™ focuses on helping people become aware of risks before they unknowingly walk, drive, or travel into them.

The project is currently in active development, and the creators are inviting outdoor enthusiasts, travelers, hikers, campers, parents, first responders, wildlife photographers, and anyone interested in personal safety to join the Early Access community.
Early supporters will receive updates on development progress, opportunities to test new features, and advance notice when the public beta becomes available.
