Her distinguished law enforcement career includes being named Officer of the Year in New Orleans in 2010 and becoming the first female Valedictorian of the Atlanta Police Academy.

She went on to earn her Juris Doctor from Emory University School of Law. During her legal studies, she gained vital experience interning with the Georgia Attorney General's Office, the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Georgia, and the DeKalb County District Attorney's Office. She is an active member of the State Bar of Georgia and the Atlanta Bar Association.
