ATMAE and AGC Education & Research Foundation Announce Strategic Collaboration to Expand Scholarshi

S For Story/10661487
PITTSBURGH - s4story -- ATMAE – The Association of Technology, Management, and Applied Engineering and the AGC Education and Research Foundation (AGCERF) are pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to promote greater access to scholarships for students enrolled in ATMAE-accredited construction-related programs.

Effective April 18, 2025, this partnership establishes a clear framework for collaboration between the two organizations. Under the agreement, students in ATMAE-accredited programs that meet AGCERF's criteria will be eligible to apply for scholarships awarded by the AGC Foundation—one of the leading scholarship providers in the construction industry.

"This partnership underscores ATMAE's commitment to expanding opportunities for students in construction-related fields," said Amy Good, Managing Director of Accreditation at ATMAE. "We are proud to work with AGC's Foundation to recognize the quality of ATMAE-accredited programs and help students access vital funding that supports their academic and professional growth."

The agreement outlines a process for validating eligible programs. Institutions must maintain ATMAE accreditation and provide documentation aligning with AGCERF's expectations. ATMAE will review this documentation during its accreditation process, which includes a thorough review every four to six years. Once validated, institutions may submit the materials to AGCERF for scholarship consideration.

"The AGC Education and Research Foundation is pleased to support students in ATMAE-accredited programs," said Keith Dillon, Executive Director of the AGC Foundation. "By formally recognizing these programs, we open the door to new pathways for future construction leaders to receive financial support and strengthen the industry."

Each year, ATMAE will provide AGCERF with a list of accredited construction-related programs, while institutions will submit the documentation required for students' scholarship eligibility.

This agreement is especially beneficial for institutions seeking initial accreditation or reaccreditation with ATMAE. By following the outlined steps, they can increase the value of their programs and help students access nationally competitive scholarships in construction-related fields.
