Where do nature-lovers find solace while confined indoors?
How do you bring the soothing presence of nature inside?
Can poetry and photography offer comfort?

Can poetry and photography offer comfort?
DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. - s4story -- Meditation with nature images offered award-winning, landscape photographer, Kent J Burkhardsmeier, comfort while confined indoors during the 2020 pandemic. Unwilling to travel during lockdown, Kent discovered poetry flowing forth as a new creative outlet while in the presence of his images of nature—this thoughtful interflow of words and images soothes the reader.
Orialivi Publishing announces the April 2021 book launch of Awareness: Whispers From Nature (96 pages, March 2021, $75 Limited Edition, $39.95 Artist Edition). Awareness intertwines outdoor landscape images and original poems by photographic artist / author, Kent Burkhardsmeier. The poems reveal the author's journey to find wisdom and awareness within nature. The combined poems and images offer space for the heart and mind to wander, carefree. Awareness—his second poetic photography book in the Whispers From Nature collection—is mindful, introspective and contemplative.

In the preface, the author shares how his first book, Stillness, "speaks about centering while present with nature." Whereas Awareness "ponders nature's messages, insights, and her shared wisdom." Within each combined poetry-photography spread, the author shares "uncovered inner pearls" with the reader. Kent dedicates three poems to those impacted by the 2020 pandemic.
"The yin and yang of Kent's poems and images are a refuge and light during these otherwise tempestuous times—offering solace with nature," says gallery director David Borlaug of The Capital Gallery, Bismarck ND.
Kent Burkhardsmeier grew up in North Dakota and currently lives in Florida. After a successful business career, Kent returned to his passion of photography—honing his artistic talents as a landscape photographer. His images have been recognized and exhibited internationally with work featured in three publications by LensWork Publishing. Kent has also appeared on Prairie Public Radio Main Street.
