BayView Entertainment Offers Clues to Identity of the 'Last Culprit' in Thrilling Mystery Movie
S For Story/10678228
Suspenseful tale invites fans of the 'Knives Out' and Agatha Christie films to "spend the weekend" searching for clues and solving a murder mystery
POMPTON PLAINS, N.J. - s4story -- Film Distributor BayView Entertainment is proud to announce the release of Last Culprit, available on finer streaming video platforms beginning November 25th.
The new film from writer-director Jennifer Hulum leans into the mystery genre, still going strong at cinemas via the Knives Out franchise and director-star Kenneth Branagh's series of movies as Agatha Christie's celebrated detected, Hercule Poirot; plus the continuing popularity of "cozy mystery" TV and streaming shows.
Speaking of Christie, Last Culprit counts among its influences her seminal novel, And Then There Were None, adapted many times under various titles. Add an ample dose of Richard Connell's short story, The Most Dangerous Game, itself a perennial inspiration for mystery films and TV episodes, and you know you're in for a wild ride of intrigue.

Following in those pedigreed footsteps, Last Culprit spins a compelling "whodunnit" tale: When five outlaw contestants are invited to a remote mansion for a game organized by a famous crime writer, the competition quickly turns into a deadly game of survival. Who will survive, and who is behind this fatal playdate?
Among the victims/suspects in Last Culprit are familiar faces including horror film legend Tuesday Knight (A Nightmare on Elm Street), Emmy-nominated soap star Tonja Walker (One Life to Live), and rising actor Bobby Slaski (V/H/S/Beyond).
"Last Culprit unfolds a labyrinth of secrets and lies, where every consequence tests the boundaries of fate, justice, and human desire," explains Hulum, whose prior film, Fortune Defies Death was also a mystery. "More than a mystery, it confronts the ultimate question: who deserves to live, who deserves to die, and who decides?"
Last Culprit has become a favorite on the festival circuit where both the film and Hulum have won in multiple categories including Best Feature Film, Best Director, Best Thriller Film, Best Woman Filmmaker, and more.
"When we saw Last Culprit, its high quality was no mystery to us," exclaims BayView Entertainment President, Peter Castro. "We're thrilled to bring this top-notch movie thriller to mystery fans everywhere."
