Confessions of a Timid Rider Wins Best Literary Non-Fiction at Equus Film Festival

RED BANK, N.J. - Dec. 5, 2018 - s4story -- Confessions of a Timid Rider, the memoir by equestrian author and blogger Heather Wallace, wins Best Literary Non-Fiction- English at this year's Equus Film Festival.
Authors, artists, and filmmakers from around the globe united November 29- December 2 to share their creativity at the sixth annual Equus Film Festival in Brooklyn, New York. The culmination of the event, the WINNIE awards, celebrates storytellers who show the rich history and diverse tapestry of horses in human culture through equestrian content.
Heather Wallace says, " To share my innermost hopes, anxieties, and passions to the world through this book was terrifying. But I know that I am not the only person who has these same feelings. It's okay not to be perfect or to have a bad day. Earning the WINNIE award means I can reach a wider audience and hopefully help them become more confident. I am truly honored."
Confessions of a Timid Rider is a memoir detailing one woman's insights into being an anxiety-ridden but passionate equestrian. After returning to riding as a mother, Heather is determined to follow her dreams despite the self-doubt she somehow lacks talent or ability. An in-depth look into the heart and head of a returning adult equestrian, this message is not limited only those with horse experience. Confessions of a Timid Rider is the perfect book to read for anyone whom even for a moment questions their value in their designated profession or life choice. This book will inspire you to pursue your dreams despite the inner voice that says you aren't good enough.
