Custom Patches Los Angeles Expands DTLA Factory to Solve Local Apparel Supply Chain Delays
S For Story/10687212
Operating at ROW DTLA, the factory-direct manufacturer has increased production capacity with industrial Barudan machines, offering 10-piece minimums and local 7-day turnarounds for the DTLA Fashion District and local first responders.
LOS ANGELES - s4story -- LOS ANGELES -- To address ongoing supply chain delays in the Southern California apparel and tactical gear sectors, Los Angeles Patch Co. (operating as Custom Patches Los Angeles) has officially expanded its manufacturing operations at its 777 S Alameda St facility. The expansion focuses on increasing local production capacity for industrial-grade embroidered, woven, and tactical PVC insignia.
The textile manufacturing industry has seen a heavy shift toward overseas brokerage, resulting in extended lead times and compromised material quality for domestic buyers. By anchoring its production floor in the Downtown Los Angeles (DTLA) Arts District, Custom Patches Los Angeles bypasses middleman procurement. The facility utilizes heavy-duty Barudan steel embroidery machines and medical-grade silicone molding to meet the rigorous specifications required by local law enforcement, fire departments, and the DTLA Fashion District.

"Los Angeles brands and specialized tactical units cannot afford to wait four weeks for overseas shipments," said Carmelo Mastache, Owner and Head of Production at Los Angeles Patch Co. "We brought the hardware back to the city. By operating locally, we are able to provide 1-hour digital proofing and manufacture batches as small as 10 pieces without sacrificing the 100-Denier Damask detail or tactical durability our clients require."
The facility currently handles high-volume B2B orders and small-batch production runs, specializing in high-tensile 3D embroidery, waterproof PVC patches, and debossed leather. The localized setup ensures a strict 7 to 14 day turnaround from digital proof to final delivery.
