 Carolina Surgical Arts announces the expansion of their practice with the addition of Dr. Nima Missaghian - known affectionately as "Dr. Nima" by his patients and colleagues.

Dr. Nima brings a wealth of experience and a unique global perspective to his practice. He earned his first degree in Engineering from the Baha'i Institute for Higher Education in Iran. During his Graduate studies at Illinois Institute of Technology, he discovered his true passion, maxillofacial reconstruction. He received his Dental degree from the University of Pennsylvania, where he received numerous honors in research, oral surgery, and community service. He then completed a six-year M.D.integrated Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at the University of Pennsylvania and Perelman School of Medicine. His specialized expertise includes implant dentistry, full-mouth reconstruction, wisdom tooth removal, orthognathic surgery, and trauma care. He also has extensive experience in pediatric oral surgery through his training at the renowned Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.

Known for his commitment to excellence, safety in anesthesia and sedation, and dedication to research, Dr. Nima has been published in esteemed journals such as the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is a proud member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (https://aaoms.org/), Osteo Science Foundation (https://www.osteoscience.org/), and the OMS Foundation (https://omsfoundation.org/).

Beyond the clinic, Dr. Nima, his wife Aram, and their children are actively involved in the local community through charity work, children's programs, and service initiatives across North Carolina.
