Flex Academy brings flexible and innovative education to Kelowna
KELOWNA, British Columbia - s4story -- Flex Academy, a leader in hybrid education, has opened enrollment for its third academic year, 2025/2026, starting January 13. Combining in-person and online learning, Flex Academy provides a flexible, student-centered approach to Christian education for Junior Kindergarten - Grade 12.
Following the last successful two years, Flex Academy expanded its facilities to accommodate growing demand. The hybrid model supports both structured classroom instruction and independent online learning, offering students the tools to excel academically and personally.
Expanding those facilities resulted in 31% growth in the school's second year, and further expansion will provide the opportunity for another 25% growth in the 2025-2026 school year to keep up with enrollment demands.
The Flex Academy model seeks to combine the best of campus and online learning, supported by engaged and caring educators, making education as expansive and flexible as possible. Often referred to as hybrid learning, Flex Academy is an in-person school that maximizes digital tools to provide blended instruction, flexible schedules, personalized learning plans, and intentional educator relationships, ensuring all students are valued and empowered to thrive.

How Does it Work?
"From Junior Kindergarten to Grade 5, (our Foundations Program) school looks very similar to other traditional schools, except with a few key differences: subject specialist teachers that work with students across multiple grade levels, as well as mixed grade learning opportunities," Bri Dyck, Director of Flex Academy shares. "In Grades 6-12 (our Innovations Program), students begin incorporating digital tools more into their learning. This allows them to learn in areas of their own interests, learn at their own pace, and experience all sorts of exciting and innovative learning opportunities in the community."
Developing thinking, technological, and self-advocacy skills is viewed as essential to the future success of students. As a Christian school, the staff of Flex Academy also value meaningful relationships with their students, prioritizing not only academics but the well-being of the whole person.
"We believe that hybrid learning is the future of education," says Craig Kwiatkowski, COO. "It's a rapidly growing movement across North America, and in 10 years or so I think most schools will be on the spectrum of hybrid education."
Enrollment for the 2025-2026 school year at Flex Academy is now open at flex.academy.
