For Fifth Straight Year, Iconic Life Time Miami Marathon Sells Out in Record Time; Waitlist Now Open for January 25, 2026, Event

MIAMI, Aug. 15, 2025 ~ The 2026 Life Time Miami Marathon & Half presented by FP Movement has once again made headlines as it sold out in record time. This year, the event reached its maximum capacity of 18,500 runners two weeks earlier than the previous record sellout for last year's event. Registration for the highly anticipated marathon opened to the public just two weeks ago.

Owned and produced by Life Time (NYSE: LTH), a leading healthy lifestyle brand, registration for the January 25, 2026, event closed on August 15. However, for those who missed out on securing a spot, a waitlist is now open until September 14. Any available spots will be reallocated only if a currently registered runner drops out or defers prior to the race. Waitlist notifications will be sent out starting September 22.

In addition to the marathon and half marathon, registration for the January 24, 2026, Life Time Tropical 5K is now open. The Tropical 5K is a great way to kick off the weekend with its scenic route from Watson Island to South Beach. For those looking to train for any of these races, complimentary training programs are available through the Life Time Digital app. The app also offers a personalized training program using its AI-powered healthy way of life companion, L•AI•C.

Participants from all over will take on the USTAF-certified course that showcases stunning views of Miami's cityscape and waterways. With representation from all 50 states and over 70 countries, this marathon truly brings together people from all walks of life.

The weekend of the marathon will also include the Miami Famous Expo, held at the Mana Wynwood Convention Center on January 23-24, 2026. This expo will feature top lifestyle, health, and wellness brands, as well as live entertainment and experiential activations.

For those looking to train for the marathon or half marathon, complimentary training plans are available through the Life Time Digital app. Additionally, local run clubs in the Miami area welcome those who are training for any of the races.

The Life Time Miami Marathon & Half is not just about running; it also has a strong focus on community involvement. Over 1,000 students from Miami-area schools will participate in the 2026 Kids Run Miami program. This program allows students to run a total of 25 miles over 15 weeks leading up to the marathon and complete their final 1.2 miles by crossing the finish line on race day. There will also be a one-mile kids race for those not participating in the program.

Furthermore, over 100 charities and organizations are partnered with the Life Time Miami Marathon, contributing to hundreds of thousands of dollars in fundraising each year. In fact, in 2025 alone, the event generated $16.1 million in local economic impact.
