Free Digital Hall Pass System for K-12 Schools Announced
S For Story/10699783
EdKeep's free digital hall pass system expands with student pair restrictions, optional rosters, pass-duration alerts, and flexible classroom controls
NEW YORK - s4story -- EdKeep has expanded its free digital hall pass system for K–12 schools, giving teachers and authorized school staff additional tools to manage student movement without requiring student accounts, app installation, or connection to a school student database.
The browser-based system allows schools to manage hall passes from computers, tablets, and smartphones. Students can use a shared classroom kiosk, scan a classroom QR code from a device, or have a teacher create the pass directly.
Recent additions give schools more control over how the system is used in individual classrooms and across multiple classrooms.
One new option is student pair restrictions. Teachers can identify pairs of students who should not be out of class at the same time. Restrictions can be configured for students within the same class or across multiple linked classrooms.
EdKeep has also added optional student rosters. Teachers who prefer not to maintain a roster can continue using student IDs or other classroom identifiers. Teachers who choose to create a roster can add students individually or paste multiple students from CSV, Excel, or Google Sheets. Student names are then automatically available in the classroom kiosk for faster selection.

Another new classroom-management option allows active passes to be highlighted after they exceed a teacher-configured duration, making it easier to identify students who have been out longer than expected.
Other EdKeep capabilities include:
Additional features are available at https://edkeep.com/features.htm.
Schools can use EdKeep without configuring every available option. A teacher may begin with a simple shared classroom kiosk and basic pass tracking, then enable additional controls as needed.

"Different schools and classrooms have different hall pass procedures, so we wanted teachers to be able to choose the level of control that works for them," said a spokesperson for EdKeep. "A classroom can use EdKeep as a simple digital replacement for a traditional hall pass, or teachers and staff can use features such as pass limits, approvals, pair restrictions, live monitoring, and detailed reports."
Because EdKeep operates through a web browser, no separate mobile or desktop download is required. Students do not need EdKeep accounts, and the system can operate without integration with a school student information system.
EdKeep and its digital hall pass features are available at no cost.
Schools, teachers, and administrators can learn more at https://edkeep.com.
