Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania's "Summer of Sisterhood" Offers Two Lehigh Valley-based Camps
S For Story/10689060
Camp Mountain House and Camp Wood Haven are open to all girls, offering daytime and overnight camping.
LEHIGH VALLEY, Pa. - s4story -- As part of its "Summer of Sisterhood" programming, Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania (GSEP) invites girls to experience summer at two of its scenic camp properties in Lehigh and Schuylkill counties, Camp Mountain House and Camp Wood Haven. Involvement in Girl Scouts is not a requirement for participation, and all girls in kindergarten through 12th grade are encouraged to register.
At each camp, young girls experience a tech-free environment that promotes problem-solving, encourages new challenges, and fosters friendship through activities ranging from swimming to outdoor cooking. Camp Wood Haven and Camp Mountain House offer a variety of experiential learning opportunities.
"Summer camp is where girls build confidence, discover new interests and form lasting friendships in a supportive, empowering environment," said Kim E. Fraites-Dow, chief executive officer of Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania. "At our camps, every activity is designed to encourage curiosity, independence and a sense of belonging."
