Home Grown Fuels Secures U.S. Patent for Breakthrough PFAS Containment Barrier
S For Story/10686008
BANGOR, Maine - s4story -- Home Grown Fuels, Inc. has secured U.S. patent protection for its proprietary Forever Chemical Containment Barrier, a scalable infrastructure solution designed to stop the spread of PFAS contamination.
At the core of the patented system is a specially designed geotextile engineered to capture PFAS from soil and water — creating a multi-pathway containment solution for one of today's most urgent environmental threats.
PFAS — commonly known as "forever chemicals" — have become one of the fastest-growing environmental and regulatory challenges in the United States. With federal and state enforcement tightening, municipalities and industrial operators are under increasing pressure to contain contaminated environments and prevent further migration.
Home Grown Fuels' patented technology is engineered to limit surface migration of PFAS and provide long-term containment across remediation sites, municipal systems, industrial facilities, and infrastructure retrofits.

The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has officially recorded the patent assignment to Home Grown Fuels, strengthening the company's intellectual property position as it advances toward commercialization.
"This patent positions us to deliver a scalable, infrastructure-ready solution at a time when containment demand is accelerating. If we can contain the PFAS to the contaminated area, we can reduce liability downstream and exposure to cancer-causing chemicals," said Lee Khan, Home Grown Fuels, Chief Executive Officer.
The PFAS remediation market is projected to reach multi-billion-dollar levels over the coming decade as governments and industry respond to mounting environmental liabilities.
With patent protection secured, Home Grown Fuels is moving forward with pilot deployments, engineering partnerships, and strategic collaborations aimed at bringing the technology to market.
