Jacksonville Children's Chorus to share music and build connections in Savannah
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - s4story -- The Jacksonville Children's Chorus will travel to Savannah, Georgia, on June 7, 2026, for a performance tour featuring singers from its Touring, Concert and Intermezzo choirs, along with members of its adult ensemble, Voices of Jacksonville.
The Chorus will perform at the Cathedral Basilica of St. John the Baptist and Asbury Memorial Church. The performance at Asbury Memorial Church will include a collaborative appearance with the SING: Savannah Inspiring the Next Generation. SING: Savannah Inspiring the Next Generation is a non-auditioned community choir for children and youth in grades K - 12 who live in and around Savannah, Georgia.
In addition to the performances, singers will have the opportunity to explore downtown Savannah and experience the city's rich history and culture.
While Savannah offers a nearby performance opportunity for JCC singers, the organisation regularly participates in national and international tours. Most recently, members of the Touring Choir travelled to Florence, Assisi and Rome, Italy, in December 2025, where they had the opportunity to briefly sing for Pope Leo XIV. The trip marked the ensemble's third visit to Rome. Earlier that year, Touring Choir singers travelled to Greece and Turkey for performances and cultural exchange experiences.
