VANCOUVER, British Columbia - s4story -- SURREY, BC — JoinRCMP.ca, an independent resource for RCMP applicants, has launched a dedicated Fitness Standards & Training section. The new section provides free, structured guides covering official RCMP fitness requirements, testing standards, and preparation strategies for candidates across Canada.
The section features a detailed breakdown of the RCMP Functional Strength and Conditioning Program, a four-level training system developed for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. The program ranges from Level 1 (beginner, 3 days/week) to Level 4 (advanced, 4 days/week), progressively preparing candidates for the Physical Fitness Assessment (PFA) and Depot training.
Given the typical 12–18 month RCMP application timeline, candidates who begin training early can realistically progress to Level 2 or Level 3 before arriving at Depot. Program guidance indicates Levels 1 through 3 require approximately 56 weeks to complete.
