Libraries for Kids, Int'l Celebrates Milestone: Over 1.1 Million Books Shipped to Kenya
Bluffton, SC – Libraries for Kids, Int'l is excited to share that it has shipped over 1.1 million books to Kenya in less than six years. This achievement supports literacy and education in underserved areas across the country.
By December 1, 2024, the organization sent their twenty-fifth shipping container to rural primary schools in Kenya, bringing the total book count to more than 1.1 million books. This year end shipment is part of their ongoing commitment to improve educational resources for children. So far, they have sent twenty-five containers since inception, five just this year alone.
These books are essential for students and teachers in rural communities. They provide access to a wide range of learning materials, helping to inspire a love of reading and improve literacy. Each library created through this effort empowers students with the tools they need to succeed in school and develop important thinking skills.
