Lord Libidan Reveals 2024–2025 Cross Stitch Trends from Etsy's Best Sellers
S For Story/10669939
LEEDS, U.K. - s4story -- Lord Libidan's latest analysis of more than 10,000 top-selling Etsy cross stitch patterns has uncovered key shifts in design preferences for 2024–2025. The findings reveal a move toward smaller, more accessible projects with reduced colour palettes, and a decline in both full coverage and technically advanced designs.
The study, based on extensive Etsy sales data, highlights how stitchers are adapting their craft to fit modern lifestyles. Compared to previous years where full coverage projects and large colour counts were the norm, most best-sellers now feature under 20 colours, require less stitching time, and avoid complex techniques like fractional stitches, metallic threads, and beading.
Key Findings:
"These findings show that stitchers are looking for more accessible, time-friendly projects without sacrificing creativity," said Lord Libidan, cross stitch designer and founder of LordLibidan.com. "It reflects a shift in how people engage with their hobby — fitting it into busy, modern lives while still enjoying the creative process."
