BRANFORD, Conn. - s4story -- Pat Munger Construction Company, Inc. and Industrial Building Systems (IBS), A Munger Company, have been recognized with four awards in the 2026 Varco Pruden (VP) Hall of Fame Awards, one of North America's most respected programs for pre-engineered metal building excellence.
The awards include three Best of Category – Recreation honors and one Best of Category – Storage, highlighting the strength of Munger Construction's integrated design-build and supply & erect platform across diverse project types.
Presented annually by Varco Pruden Buildings, the Hall of Fame Awards recognize projects that demonstrate innovation, efficiency, and high-performance building solutions.

Serve & Smash Pickleball & Padel Club - Branford, CT
This 21,760-square-foot facility introduces one of the world's fastest-growing sports to Connecticut. Designed by G+P Architects, with Munger Construction providing supply and erect services, the project combines indoor and outdoor courts with premium amenities including a mezzanine bar, lounge areas, and a pro shop creating both a competitive venue and social destination.
Town of Belmont Skating Rink and Athletic Facility - Belmont, MA
IBS provided supply and erect services for this 40,300-square-foot, fossil-fuel-free complex. Designed by The Galante Architecture Studio and built by Skanska, the facility serves as a year-round hub for hockey, skating, and community events, with a strong focus on sustainability and modern performance.
Donovan Mitchell Family Athletic Center - Greenwich Country Day School in Greenwich, CT
Constructed by Turner Construction and supported by IBS as the supply and erect subcontractor, this 30,000-square-foot athletic center features a full NCAA basketball court divisible into two high school courts. Funded in part by NBA player Donovan Mitchell, the facility blends conventional steel with pre-engineered systems to deliver a flexible, high-performance training environment.

Munger Construction earned Best of Category – Storage for this 10,800-square-foot boat storage facility, continuing a more than 30-year partnership with Safe Harbor Marinas. The project enhances a key waterfront operation with modern storage capabilities, including large hydraulic doors and a breezeway connection to existing structures, improving both efficiency and capacity.
