Legendary Musician Ray Parker Jr., Muppets Puppeteer Paul McGinnis, and Sevendust Guitarist Clint Lowery Praise Upcoming Children's Book Spooksters: Stage Fright
LOS ANGELES - s4story -- LOS ANGELES, Calif. and PHOENIX, Ariz. — With its upcoming release just weeks away, Spooksters: Stage Fright, a new children's picture book that helps young readers build confidence through music and friendship, is already receiving praise from respected figures in entertainment, puppetry, and music.
Created by Emmy-nominated composer and sound professional Thomas Corkran and creative director Joe Plascencia, Spooksters: Stage Fright follows Jacky, a shy young werewolf who dreams of performing but struggles with stage fright. Along the way, he discovers that courage isn't about being fearless—it's about finding the confidence to share your unique voice with the world.
Legendary singer songwriter Ray Parker Jr. praised the book's broad appeal, saying:

"Stage Fright is a lot of fun and kids will love it as well as adults."
Renowned puppeteer Paul McGinnis, whose work includes performances with the Muppets and Sesame Street productions, shared his family's reaction to the story:
"Smashing! What an absolute delight. I read Stage Fright to my 3-year-old son last night, and you know a book is a winner when your child immediately asks you to read it again and then talks about it the next morning. The characters are instantly endearing, visually stunning, and they inhabit a delightful world that my son clearly can't wait to revisit. Neither can I!"
Acclaimed guitarist Clint Lowery of Sevendust connected personally with the book's message:
"This book reminds me of my own musical journey—the fears, frustrations, and confidence building through music. I would have loved to have had a book like this as a young musician. Beautifully done."
For co-creator Thomas Corkran, the project represents the culmination of a lifelong dream to combine storytelling, music, and meaningful life lessons into a format that inspires young readers.

"Spooksters: Stage Fright was born from the idea that every child faces moments of self-doubt," said Corkran. "We wanted to create a fun and imaginative story that encourages children to believe in themselves, embrace creativity, and understand that confidence grows one small step at a time."
Set in the whimsical world of Spookywood, the book introduces readers to a cast of lovable monster friends who discover that music, friendship, and perseverance can help overcome even the biggest fears.
The first title in the planned Spooksters series, Stage Fright is designed for young readers and families, while also providing educators, parents, and caregivers with a positive conversation starter about self-confidence, creativity, and personal growth.
Spooksters: Stage Fright will be released in July 4th, 2026 and will be available through online retailers and the official Spooksters website www.spooksters.rocks.
