The two astronauts will be answering questions from students in Mansfield, Texas about science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).

The 20-minute call between the ISS and Earth will take place at 10:40 a.m. EDT and can be watched on the NASA STEM YouTube Channel. This unique opportunity for students to interact with astronauts in space is made possible by Expedition 72 Flight Engineers Takuya Onishi from JAXA and NASA astronauts Anne McClain, Nichole Ayers, and Don Pettit.

This exciting opportunity allows students to connect what they have learned about space travel to real-life experiences. For over 24 years, astronauts have been living and working aboard the ISS conducting experiments, testing technologies, and developing skills necessary for future missions.

Through SCaN's (Space Communications and Navigation) Near Space Network, astronauts aboard the ISS are able to communicate with NASA's Mission Control Center in Houston 24 hours a day. The research and technology investigations taking place on the ISS have important implications for people on Earth and lay the foundation for future missions.

As part of NASA's Artemis campaign, which aims to send astronauts back to the Moon to prepare for human exploration of Mars, this event serves as an inspiration for future generations of explorers. It also highlights America's continued leadership in space exploration and discovery.
