New travel job vacancies hit 12-month high

LONDON - s4story -- New travel job vacancies hit 12-month high
C&M Travel Recruitment's Activity Index – February 2026
The number of new job opportunities in the travel industry has risen to its highest point in a year, according to the latest figures from C&M Travel Recruitment.
Last month's total was up by 22 per cent from January to reach a level not seen since February 2025.
However, there was a small fall in the number of new candidates searching for travel jobs last month, with February's total dipping by 11 per cent from January. The figure was also down by nine per cent from February 2025.
It was also a quieter month for placements with the total easing by 14 per cent from January 2026 and by 47 per cent from February 2025.
Speaking about the month's statistics, Barbara Kolosinska, Co-Owner and Managing Director at C&M Travel Recruitment (http://www.candm.co.uk/), said: "For the market to be buoyant we need healthy numbers of new and exciting roles each month. So it's great to see that more travel jobs were made available in February than at any point in the last year.

"Of course, we now need this to filter through into more placements being made in the next few months, but this is a very positive sign. Less welcome was the small dip in new candidates, which will mean that clients have a smaller talent pool to choose from. But hopefully the big increase in roles – with many offering fantastic salaries too – will encourage more jobseekers to explore the opportunities that are currently out there.
"As a recruitment company, ultimately we're only as busy as our clients, so we'll be watching the situation with each of them carefully over the coming months."

All figures are drawn from the month's new vacancies advertised with C&M Travel Recruitment.
C&M Travel Recruitment was established in 1998 and is the largest and most successful specialist travel recruitment company in the UK.
