Nottingham Artist Andy Taylor Announces New Solo Exhibition at Framework Knitters' Museum, Ruddington
S For Story/10700195
Following on from the previous solo show in the Broadway Gallery
NOTTINGHAM, U.K. - s4story -- Nottingham-based abstract painter Andy Taylor will open a new solo exhibition at the Framework Knitters' Museum in Ruddington, the exhibition will be in the Gallery - a converted Methodist chapel housed in the museum. The exhibition launches with an opening event at 6pm on 12 February 2027.
The new show follows 'Into the Light', Andy's exhibition at Broadway in Nottingham in June 2026, which was dominated by work from his Ocean & Coastal collection, paintings that anticipated "coastal" becoming one of the defining interior design trends of the year, months before design publications caught up to it.
Andy commented:
"Every show teaches me something about which pieces actually connect with people in a room, not just on a screen. This gallery is a completely different space to Broadway, and this will be an opportunity to show my paintings in an amazing historical setting. This new show is perhaps lighter and even more optimistic – I am calling it 'Burnt Skies' an exploration of light and colour".

David Longford, Museum Manager at the Framework Knitters Museum commented:
"We're always keen to support local artists and give them a platform here at the museum. Andy's work brings a real warmth and colour to the space, it will sit beautifully against the character of the Chapel Gallery, and it's exactly the kind of contemporary creative partnership we want to keep building on."
Five of his paintings are on loan to Nottingham Trent University's collection, and he has sold more than 40 original works to collectors, with no prior connection to the art world. His statement paintings, drawn from British coasts, moorlands and skies, are priced from £500, with smaller painted studies from £50 - prints also available directly through art-haus.co.uk.
The exhibition opens 12 February with full details and RSVP available via Andy's socials (https://linktr.ee/andytaylorartist) – a limited number of free tickets to the launch event on the 12th are available here
