One Small Act Could Help Veterans and Seniors Save Money Every Year
S For Story/10701615
Senior Vet Discounts asks Americans to download and share a free flyer with Veteran groups, Senior organizations and local businesses to help more people discover savings before they pay.
ORLANDO, Fla. - s4story -- Helping a Veteran or Senior save money may be as simple as printing one piece of paper and sharing it with someone in your community. Or share with friends on social media so they can share it with others.
Vietnam Veteran and author Bruce Goldwell, founder of Senior Vet Discounts, is asking the public to help spread the word about discounts and special offers available to Veterans and Seniors.
The request is simple:
Download the free Senior Vet Discounts flyer. Print it. Share it.
Give a copy to a local American Legion, VFW, Veteran organization, Senior center, retirement community or a business that supports Veterans and Seniors.
"One small act on your part could ultimately help Veterans and Seniors keep more of the money and benefits they've worked a lifetime to earn," Goldwell said. "You may never know which Veteran sees that flyer, discovers a discount and starts saving money because you took a few minutes to share it."

Goldwell experienced the problem personally.
While developing Senior Vet Discounts, he discovered that his own cell phone provider offered a Veteran discount he wasn't receiving. After applying, his bill dropped $26 per month—almost $300 over 12 months.
That raised a larger question:
How many Veterans and Seniors are paying more simply because they don't know a discount exists?
Senior Vet Discounts was created to help answer that question.
The project helps Veterans and Seniors discover savings involving restaurants, stores, attractions, travel, phone services and participating businesses.
The public can now help build that network.
The new Supporters page provides a printable flyer that can be shared with Veteran and Senior organizations as well as local businesses. Supporters can also encourage businesses they already patronize to become Senior Vet Discounts Participating Businesses and make their Veteran and Senior offers easier to discover.

"You don't need to donate money," Goldwell said. "You don't need to volunteer for hours. Print a flyer. Share the website. Tell another Veteran. Tell a Senior. Give the flyer to a business owner. That's how one person can help another."
