Padel Tournament in Brooklyn to Support Bone Marrow Transplant Patients

The Icla da Silva Foundation's doubles tournament at Padel Haus in Williamsburg will raise funds for patients facing the financial burden of transplant treatment.

BROOKLYN, N.Y. - s4story -- The Icla da Silva Foundation will host its 2nd annual "Play With Purpose" padel tournament on Saturday, June 6, at Padel Haus Williamsburg, bringing together players and supporters for an evening of competition benefiting patients in need of a bone marrow transplant.

The doubles tournament will feature 24 teams competing in a fast-paced round-robin format, with trophies awarded to the top three finishers. The event will take place from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM and will include food and drinks for both players and spectators.

Proceeds from the tournament will support the Foundation's mission of helping patients overcome the financial barriers that often accompany transplant treatment. While a bone marrow transplant can save a life, many patients struggle with expenses related to transportation, temporary housing, lost income, and other non-medical costs not covered by their insurance.

"The transplant journey can place enormous emotional and financial strain on a family," said Airam da Silva, President of the Icla da Silva Foundation. "Events like this allow a community to come together in support of patients who are navigating one of the most difficult moments of their lives."
