Premier Mobile Health Services hosting Back-to-School Toiletry Drive
S For Story/10696203
FORT MYERS, Fla. - s4story -- Premier Mobile Health Services is collecting hygiene products through its Back-to-School Toiletry Drive now through July 10 to help local children and families prepare for the upcoming school year. Community members are encouraged to donate new, full size, unopened items, such as soap, shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, body wash and feminine hygiene products. Clear backpacks are also needed so children can carry the items home.
For many families, these everyday necessities can be difficult to afford. According to United Way's ALICE data, nearly half of Lee County households struggle to afford the basic cost of living. While food assistance programs can help cover groceries, they cannot be used to purchase hygiene products, cleaning supplies, paper products and other household essentials. And when children do not have the supplies they need to stay clean, they may face embarrassment, isolation or bullying from their peers – barriers that can affect their self-esteem, attendance and ability to focus in school.

"We have always focused on meeting people where they are – whether by providing accessible health care or helping families prepare for a new school year," said Dr. Nadine "Deanie" Singh, CEO of Premier Mobile Health Services. "This effort goes beyond basic supplies; it's about giving children the confidence and support they need to begin the year strong, healthy and ready to succeed."
A list of requested items is available through Premier Mobile Health Services' online wish list at https://a.co/06Mwq3TN.
Donations of new, full size, unopened toiletry products can be dropped off or shipped to Premier Mobile Health Services, 10676 Colonial Blvd., Suite 20, Fort Myers, FL 33913.
