Producer 9-0 Says Criticism from No Limit Affiliates Won't Stop No Limit East's Master P Tribute

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - s4story -- With the release of Salute U P (Master P Tribute) set for March 29, 2026, Producer 9-0 says he already knows criticism is coming — and he is releasing the project anyway.

Produced by La'Nardo Myrick Sr., the project honors Percy Miller Sr. through a collaborative body of work featuring independent artists from across the world, including Sandy Ann Coleman, Voices of Song, White Boi Lee, Mirk Mantra, T-Gozey, Brodee Frank, Missy Bee, Miss Brodie, Yung Boogie, Miss Debbie Lee, Darnell B. Smooth, and more.

Producer 9-0 says the tribute is rooted in conviction.

"I'm aware many people will attack me," he said. "But I also know who I am. Perfect doesn't mean I think I'm above anybody. It means I'm committed to being the best I can be right now for the long term."

He added that No Limit Forever East has continued to stand and represent even in the face of criticism from artists, observers, and some people tied to Master P's extended world.

That kind of pushback is not unusual when dealing with major legacies. Percy Miller's name carries weight because his impact has not been limited to one era or one lane. He is widely recognized as a founder, recording artist, executive, entrepreneur, and community figure whose work with No Limit Records helped define an era in Southern hip-hop and whose business activity continued far beyond the music charts.

Producer 9-0 says one more thing about the project matters deeply: there are no videos, because the mission is not spectacle.

"The music had to be enough," he said. "And it is."
