LONDON - s4story -- "Reality Behind the Fantasy" by Caroline Munro is now published

Newly-released:  Official authorised memoir of beloved English model, actress and TV Presenter of The Cellar Club

About the book:

From the hallowed grounds of Hammer Horror to the soaring heights of Bond and Sinbad, Caroline Munro has long been immortalised as the First Lady of Fantasy. In "Reality Behind the Fantasy", Caroline steps out of the spotlight and into her truth with a candid memoir that's filled with warmth, wit and a healthy dose of sparkle and glamour.

Behind the smokey eyeliner and the cult film posters, Caroline shares backstage anecdotes from her accidental start in show business to working with cinematic legends such as Christopher Lee, Peter Cushing and Vincent Price, as well as iconic Ray Harryhausen creatures.

Told in Caroline's unmistakable voice – elegant, mischievous and deeply human – "Reality Behind the Fantasy" is an invitation to step beyond her world of fantasy and meet the real woman who has lived it all.

About the Author:

Caroline Munro is an English actress and model known for her appearances in horror, science fiction and action films of the 1970s and 80s. Her career began when a photographer friend entered headshots of her in The Evening News "Face of the Year" contest which, after she won, led to modelling for Vogue magazine at age 17 and later becoming the featured advertising model for Lamb's Navy Rum for over a decade.

Caroline had the distinction of being signed to a long-term contract with Hammer Films and starred in both Dracula AD 1972, and Captain Kronos - Vampire Hunter. She gained prominence in the horror genre as well as her roles as Bond girl, Naomi, in The Spy Who Loved Me and as slave girl, Margiana, in Ray Harryhausen's The Golden Voyage of Sinbad.

In 2021, she started presenting a weekly Taking Pictures TV series, The Cellar Club, in which she introduces celebrated and obscure horror films from her unique, personal, and insider perspective.
