Sellers Umbrella Flags Amazon's 90% Business Hour Delivery Rate Deadline of September 30
S For Story/10699825
Seller-fulfilled offers to Amazon Business customers face deactivation from October 30 in the US, UK, and Germany.
WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. - s4story -- A performance metric most Amazon sellers have ignored becomes enforceable this fall. Beginning September 30, 2026, professional sellers in the United States, United Kingdom, and Germany must maintain a Business Hour Delivery Rate of 90 percent or higher on seller-fulfilled orders to Amazon Business customers. Sellers still below that threshold on October 30 risk having their seller-fulfilled offers deactivated for Amazon Business buyers.
Sellers Umbrella, a full-service Amazon and marketplace agency, is advising affected brands to audit delivery performance now rather than wait for Amazon's first notification, which arrives only after the threshold has already been missed.
The metric tracks the share of seller-fulfilled shipments delivered to Amazon Business customers within their stated operating hours, over a rolling 14-day window. It has existed for years as an informational figure with no penalty attached. FBA offers and standard retail orders are unaffected.

The difficulty is structural. Amazon Business orders ship to offices, warehouses, and clinics where nobody is present after hours, and the final delivery attempt belongs to a carrier the seller does not control.
"This one measures something that happens after the package leaves your hands," said Nirav Bhatt, Founder of Sellers Umbrella. "You can do everything right and still fail it. The fix is not working harder on fulfillment. It is changing the settings and carrier decisions that determine when a package actually lands."
Sellers Umbrella recommends five steps before September: pull the current rate from the Account Health dashboard, identify which SKUs carry meaningful Amazon Business volume, review carriers on delivery timing rather than transit speed, enable Automated Handling Time and Shipping Settings Automation, and evaluate whether borderline SKUs should move to FBA before peak volume arrives.
The FBA call is a margin question, not a compliance one.
This monitoring sits at the center of the agency's amazon marketplace account management practice, covering daily account health checks, Seller Support case management, inventory and FBA logistics, catalog work, and policy response.
