Sikh Actor Harbinder Singh's Film Perfectly Seasoned Selected for Garden State Film Festival
S For Story/10687164
A heartfelt mockumentary about a Sikh restaurant owner navigating love, family, and meddling aunties will screen at the Garden State Film Festival, highlighting authentic South Asian storytelling and representation.
ASBURY PARK, N.J. - s4story -- NEW YORK, NY — Perfectly Seasoned, a heartfelt mockumentary starring Sikh actor Harbinder Singh, has been officially selected to screen at the Garden State Film Festival, one of the East Coast's premier showcases for independent film.
Set inside a lively neighborhood restaurant, Perfectly Seasoned follows Bikram Singh, a devoted Sikh restaurant owner whose quiet routine is disrupted when his outspoken niece and a group of meddling aunties push him back into the dating world. When a chaotic speed-dating night unfolds inside his own restaurant, unexpected connections — and a little behind-the-scenes scheming — may finally give Bikram a second chance at love.
More on S For Story
Blending humor with heart, the film offers a warm and authentic glimpse into South Asian family dynamics and Sikh culture while telling a universal story about companionship and starting over.
"Stories about Sikh characters are still rarely seen on screen," said Harbinder Singh. "With Perfectly Seasoned, we wanted to create something funny, relatable, and human while placing a Sikh character at the center of a universal story about love and second chances."
Singh continues to champion authentic South Asian representation through his production company, Kahani Road Productions, developing projects that highlight culturally rich stories with global appeal.
The Garden State Film Festival takes place annually in Asbury Park, New Jersey, celebrating filmmakers and storytellers from around the world.
