Spark Joshi Puroresu, a US-based organization aiming to grow Japanese style womens pro wrestling in America, brings the stars of Japan to Las Vegas for an all-star show in April 2026 during Mania Week.

LAS VEGAS - s4story -- On April 19th, Spark Joshi will spotlight the stars of Japanese women's pro wrestling in Las Vegas with Lady Luck II at the HyperX Arena, featuring top names from Japan's STARDOM, the #1 women's wrestling organization in the world. Since 2023, Spark Joshi has been the first American brand dedicated to importing the fast, hard-hitting style of Joshi Puroresu (Japanese women's wrestling) to America.

For decades, Joshi Puroresu has been recognized as the highest standard of pro wrestling. Originating in the 1940s, decades before GLOW or WrestleMania in the US, Japanese women's wrestling boomed in the 1970s-80s, with performers who originated techniques later adopted by wrestlers of all genders around the world. Domestically, Joshi Puroresu became a cultural phenomenon that culminated in a massive 1994 Tokyo Dome show that rivaled top men's wrestling shows.

By the late 1990s, as the WWF (now WWE) and WCW experienced their boom in America, western fans from the internet wrestling community discovered Japanese wrestling in a culture of VHS tape trading, recommendations, and five-star reviews in wrestling newsletters.

Today, women's wrestlers from Japan have headlined American organizations including WWE and AEW. In 2024, the Netflix series "Queen of Villains", depicting the life of a heel (villain) wrestler from the 1980s-90s All Japan Womens Pro Wrestling era, introduced a whole new generation to the world of Japanese womens wrestling.

"Anime and Japanese video games have been part of American pop culture for decades," says Spark Joshi founder "Chibi" C.B. Liffer, who routinely co-performs the organization's J-Pop idol inspired theme song as an opening to the shows. She explains that her goal is to "light the SPARK that will make joshi puroresu the international cultural phenomenon it deserves to be."

This year, Spark Joshi's Lady Luck II will take place at the HyperX Arena on Sunday April 19th. Headliners from STARDOM set to appear at the show include Cosmic Angels idol Natsupoi, Spark Joshi World Champion Hazuki, the wildly popular fan favorite Starlight Kid, Spark Joshi Atlantic Champion SAKI, and more to be announced.

Tickets are on sale now. Front row tickets are already sold out, so the time is now for fans to secure tickets before they're gone.
