St. Louis JCC Announces Hire of Stephanie Gross to Lead New Shalom St. Louis Initiative

ST. LOUIS - s4story -- The St. Louis Jewish Community Center (JCC) today announced the hire of Stephanie Gross as Coordinator of Shalom St. Louis, a new community-wide initiative designed to welcome individuals and families relocating to the region and connect them to the full spectrum of Jewish life across St. Louis. The initiative is generously funded by the St. Louis Jewish Federation.
Shalom St. Louis is a collaborative effort focused on helping newcomers build meaningful connections to Jewish organizations, congregations, schools, and community resources throughout the region. Through personalized, relationship-based engagement, the initiative aims to ensure that new residents feel supported, included, and connected from the moment they arrive.
In her role, Gross will meet directly with newcomers to learn about their interests, needs, and goals, helping them navigate opportunities for Jewish and community engagement across St. Louis. Her work will center on building one-on-one relationships that foster belonging and long-term community involvement.

A St. Louis native, Gross brings a diverse background that includes corporate experience as well as extensive volunteer leadership within the Jewish community. She holds a degree in business and communications from The George Washington University. She lives in St. Louis with her spouse, two children, and two dogs.
"I am excited to lead Shalom St. Louis and help connect new residents to our community," Gross said. "By welcoming newcomers and helping them build relationships, we strengthen Jewish life across the region."
The St. Louis JCC and the St. Louis Jewish Federation view Shalom St. Louis as an important investment in the future of Jewish life in the region, ensuring that those who relocate to St. Louis are met with warmth, guidance, and meaningful pathways to engagement.
