The Great Junk Hunt announces Spokane debut on the iconic first weekend in June.
SPOKANE, Wash. - s4story -- For generations of vintage lovers, the first weekend in June has been a Spokane tradition. Friends reunite, families gather, and Northwest treasure hunters search for their next great find. When news broke that Spokane's June vintage weekend was ending, it left a void in the summer calendar. Today, award-winning vintage market The Great Junk Hunt announced it will carry the tradition forward at the Spokane County Fair & Expo Center.
The Great Junk Hunt will debut Friday, June 4, and Saturday, June 5, 2027, preserving the weekend while supporting makers, curators, and small businesses. For founder Linda Albers, it is more than another stop on a national tour. It's a homecoming. Albers grew up in Spokane, where weekends with her mother meant garage sales, flea markets, and hidden treasures. Those adventures inspired The Great Junk Hunt. "Some of my earliest memories are riding along with my mom as she hunted garage sales and brought home pieces with a little life and a whole lot of story left in them," Albers said. "My love of the hunt began right here. Bringing The Great Junk Hunt home to Spokane feels like everything has come full circle."

Founded in 2009, The Great Junk Hunt has grown from one event into one of the nation's vintage market experiences. Albers now works alongside her son, who plays an integral role in leading the company. Three generations of the family are connected by the same love of forgotten treasures.
The Spokane market will become a flagship event on The Great Junk Hunt's national tour, welcoming curated vendors and thousands of shoppers for a weekend filled with vintage finds, architectural salvage, home décor, handmade goods, inspiring displays, music, food, and plenty of Junk Hunt fun. "We know this weekend holds a special place in the hearts of Spokane shoppers and vendors," Albers said. "We're honored to carry the tradition forward while bringing our own energy, creativity, and welcoming atmosphere. We're not coming to recreate the past. We want to honor what has made the first weekend in June so meaningful".
