"I draw upon my personal experiences of constantly being busy," says Vielhuber. "I now call myself a recovering Martha. Now, I intentionally find ways in which I am not always focused on doing but can simply enjoy life more."

For five years, Vielhuber was the pastor of the Poynette Inch United Methodist Church. She stepped away from pastoral ministry to pursue writing this book. Drawing upon the biblical story of two sisters named Martha and Mary, Vielhuber takes the story and reframes it into modern cultural context.
