Thorn & Bloom Magazine Releases Fifth Issue: Rooted & Ruptured
S For Story/10689197
A quarterly publication exploring self-care as resistance, collective liberation, and our connection to the natural world.
SAN FRANCISCO - s4story -- Thorn & Bloom Magazine, a quarterly publication dedicated to self-care as a pathway to personal and collective liberation, has released its fifth issue, titled Rooted & Ruptured.
The magazine interrogates how societal norms and socialisation suppress individuality, autonomy, and self-worth, positioning self-care not as indulgence, but as an act of resistance and a tool for healing. Each issue invites contributions across genres, including personal essays, poetry, fiction, memoir, and expert insights, navigating the balance between struggle and growth, mindfulness and authenticity.
Issue 05: Rooted & Ruptured explores a central question: what does it mean to heal our separation from the natural world?

"We are born of nature, yet socialised to see ourselves as separate from it. This severance mirrors how we are taught to distrust our instincts, silence our inner rhythms, and exile parts of ourselves deemed 'wild' or 'unproductive.' To heal this rupture is a radical act," says Kirsty Anne Richards, Founder and Editorial Director of redrosethorns.
This edition lives in the overlap between our inner landscapes and the outer wild. Contributors explore meditations on silence, on the ocean that runs through our veins, the patience of a vegetable garden, and the strange comfort of autumn's slow descent into the dark – asking what is natural, and what we've been taught to suppress.
Issue 05 is available worldwide in digital and print-on-demand formats through the redrosethorns website and major online retailers. https://www.redrosethorns.com/thornandbloommagazine
