C&M Travel Recruitment's Activity Index – September 2025
The number of new travel job vacancies, placements and candidates all rose last month, according to the latest figures from C&M Travel Recruitment.
This was only the second time this year that all three metrics have risen in the same month. Leading the way was the 49 per cent rise in new travel job vacancies which reached its highest total in seven months. September's figure was the best since February, but was down by 23 per cent from September 2024.
There was also a four per cent monthly rise in candidates being placed in new travel jobs, although the figure dipped by 14 per cent compared to the same month last year.
Similarly, there was a small increase in the number of candidates searching for new travel jobs last month, with a rise of two per cent from August. However, September 2025's total dipped by 13 per cent from September 2024.

Speaking about the stats, Barbara Kolosinska, Co-Owner and Managing Director at C&M Travel Recruitment (http://www.candm.co.uk/), said: "After the summer holiday distractions of July and August, September traditionally marks the start of a busier period for travel recruitment – and that's exactly what we've seen this year. Vacancies, candidates and placements have all risen which is a great indication that we are heading in the right direction for the rest of 2025.
"In particular, the 49 per cent monthly jump in new travel job vacancies is extremely welcome. This big increase means there are a wealth of fantastic new opportunities currently available, and we are already seeing this result in an increase in new jobseekers searching for roles in the travel industry in October."

All figures are drawn from the month's new vacancies advertised with C&M Travel Recruitment.
