NEW YORK - s4story -- MOTHER'S DAY

The old English definition of "mother" from 1200 - "that which has given birth to anything," makes mothers of us all: the traditional mother of a child, but also: those who give birth to ideas and cures; who birth others into new life stages - growth into peace, reconciliation, acceptance (including children who birth aging parents into the last third of their lives); who, in the absence of parents and mentors give birth to themselves, caretakers of homo sapiens and other species… a virtually endless list of nurturers.

As a mother-daughter team, it is our very great honor to serve you this Mother's Day.

This Collection was inspired by a gracious afternoon Mamma Wonka and I spent at King's Carriage House, where the ritual of Afternoon and High Tea unfold with timeless charm and elegant ceremony.
