Walks & Devour Tours Consolidates 2,000+ Content Assets onto Relato Platform
S For Story/10690014
The global tour operator moved its full content library off Asana and onto a content operations platform built for distributed teams and freelancer-heavy workflows.
NEW YORK - s4story -- Walks and Devour Tours, the global guided-tour company operating in more than 20 destinations, has consolidated more than 2,000 content assets onto Relato, a purpose-built content operations platform. The move replaces a fragmented system of Asana boards, Slack canvases, Google Drive, and SharePoint folders that the in-house content team had outgrown.
Walks and Devour produces content across blogs, social channels, YouTube scripts, email, and destination-specific marketing campaigns. The volume, combined with a global team and a network of freelance contributors, made the previous setup difficult to scale.
"We weren't always rowing the same way," said Cassandra Gambill, Head of Content at Walks and Devour Tours. "It was hard to give visibility across all the content verticals, let alone ensure we were aligned on goals."

The company evaluated Asana as a potential consolidation point but found that its per-seat pricing model made freelancer collaboration costly and operationally clunky. Relato's flat pricing structure allowed the team to bring its full network of freelance writers, editors, and contributors into the same workspace at no additional cost per user.
After a two-week trial and a custom onboarding session, the team migrated its content library to the platform. Today, all 2,000-plus assets are organized by brand and channel, with each board tracking owners, deadlines, and status in a single view.
"We can finally see what's happening across campaigns, spot overlaps, and make smarter use of our content," Gambill said.
The Walks and Devour adoption reflects a broader pattern of content teams moving away from general-purpose project management tools toward dedicated content operations platforms. Marketing departments often manage strategy, production, and collaboration across a dozen or more disconnected tools, a problem that grows more acute as teams add AI tools to their production workflows.

Relato is designed to address this fragmentation by combining content libraries, workflows, project management, and AI agents in a single workspace. The platform's flat pricing model is intended to make it economically viable for teams that rely heavily on freelance and agency contributors.
Walks and Devour Tours operates guided walking and food tours in cities across Europe and North America, including Rome, Paris, Barcelona, New York, and London.
