"It has been an incredible honor to serve as CEO and president for the last four years, and I am deeply grateful for the community's trust and partnership," said Neil Anderson, outgoing CEO and president of the Wonder Gardens. "Together, we've faced many challenges, celebrated our 90th anniversary and made meaningful strides toward our master plan. None of this would have been possible without the dedication of the staff, volunteers and board of directors who support this mission every day. As I step into this new chapter of my life, I reflect fondly on what we've built and look forward to seeing what the future has in store for the Wonder Gardens."
The search is now underway for a new executive director who will lead the organization in this next chapter. The Wonder Gardens Board of Directors has established a search committee and is committed to ensuring strong leadership for the future.
"On behalf of the Board of Directors, I want to express our gratitude for Neil's leadership and unwavering commitment to the Wonder Gardens over the past four years," said Dr. Wendy Arsenault, board chair for the Wonder Gardens. "Neil led us through adversity in the aftermath of Hurricane Ian, fostered partnerships with several community organizations, donors and volunteers, strengthened our public support and expanded our reach. He has truly helped us 'Renew the Wonder' and we wish him only the best as he enters retirement!"
