"We're thrilled to be back at the AWP Conference and Bookfair!" says Kristen Tate, EFA Events chairperson. "This is such a wonderful opportunity to get together with everyone. The first AWP conference, held in 1973 at the Library of Congress, featured six events and 16 presenters. AWP has grown to be the largest literary conference in North America, drawing thousands of writers, editors, and publishers, and featuring hundreds of events. The concurrent Bookfair will feature hundreds of exhibitors, including presses, journals, and literary organizations.

Founded in 1970, the EFA is a national nonprofit professional organization with more than 3,000 members, including writers, editors, copyeditors, proofreaders, indexers, translators and others who work in publishing, communications, and related fields.
