El Dasa is a Latin Grammy-nominated Regional Mexican singer-songwriter and actor based in Los Angeles. His real name is Dasahev López Saavedra, and he hails from the Mexican state of Sonora. El Dasa's artistic journey began in Mexico, where he participated in a singing contest and made it to the second round. However, he ultimately found success in music after migrating to the United States. At the age of 18, he moved to Los Angeles, where he initially worked as a driver for legendary singer Vicente Fernández. Impressed by El Dasa's vocal talent, Fernández invited him on stage at the Gibson Amphitheatre to perform a duet. A few years later, El Dasa released his first album, which produced his first hit. More successful albums and songs followed. El Dasa is a recipient of an International Emmy Award and has been nominated twice for the Latin Grammy Awards and once for Premio Lo Nuestro. His achievements are also chronicled in the American biographical television series El Vato (The Dude), which aired on NBC Universo.
