The Adelphi Orchestra presents Soaring Melodies, featuring violinist Miranda Isbitts in works by Elgar, Glazunov, and Beethoven. May 8 (NJ) & May 16 (NYC).
RIVER EDGE, N.J. - s4story -- The Adelphi Orchestra, under the direction of Kyunghun Kim, presents Soaring Melodies, an inspiring program of classical masterworks to be performed on Friday, May 8, 2026 at 7:30 PM at River Dell High School Auditorium in Oradell, NJ, and Saturday, May 16, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Broadway Presbyterian Church in New York City.
This dynamic program highlights the beauty and expressive power of the orchestra, opening with Elgar's Serenade for Strings, a lyrical and richly textured work beloved for its warmth and elegance. The program continues with Glazunov's Violin Concerto, performed by violinist Miranda Isbitts, 2025 Adelphi Orchestra Young Artist Competition Winner..
The concerts conclude with Beethoven's Symphony No. 2, a vibrant and optimistic work that marks a turning point in the composer's creative evolution.
