AKCP Unveils Quicklime DCIM featuring sensorCFD AI, Capacity AI, Video AI, Configuration AI, Asset AI, at OCP EMEA Summit
S For Story/10691082
AKCP, the world's oldest and largest manufacturer of networked environmental, power, and security monitoring solutions, today announced a leap forward in data center infrastructure management with the release of a comprehensive suite of Artificial Intelligence features for its Quicklime DCIM and Digital Twin software.
BARCELONA, Spain - s4story -- This integration of an on premise GPU and large language model (LLM), and image recognition technology redefines how facility managers and IT operators interact with, secure, and optimize their data center and mission critical infrastructure. The complete suite of AI tools makes its global debut today at the Open Compute Project (OCP) EMEA Summit in Barcelona, running from April 29th to 30th.
The Next Generation of Autonomous Data Center Operations
Managing a modern data center requires insights to operational performance. Analyzing vast amounts of telemetry, maintaining strict security, and keeping complex databases perfectly synchronized with reality. Typically DCIM's and Digital Twins can suffer from data overload, with more information than operators can comprehend. AKCP's Quicklime DCIM automates these challenges through five core AI technologies:
Empowering Operators, Maximizing Efficiency

"With this suite of AI tools, Quicklime DCIM is no longer just a monitoring tool; it is an active, intelligent partner in data center operations," said Nicholas Barrowclough, President at AKCP.
"By automating thermal analysis, capacity planning, physical security, and asset auditing, we are dramatically reducing operational overhead. Our customers can now focus on implementing solutions and scaling their infrastructure, rather than endlessly analyzing data."

- sensorCFD™ AI: Ingest live power and thermal data directly from racks to produce near real-time Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) models. An on premise LLM analyzes the output, moving beyond simply identifying hot and cold spots to diagnosing the root cause and prescribing rectification steps.
- Capacity AI: Eliminating the guesswork of IT provisioning, Capacity AI scans the entire Digital Twin based on user-defined parameters (required U-space, power, and cooling). It bypasses manual audits and complex spreadsheets to automatically recommend the top three optimal rack locations for new deployments, maximizing resource utilization and preventing stranded capacity.
- Video AI: This feature transforms standard surveillance cameras into highly customizable, intelligent "virtual sensors." By using a full LLM to understand context, operators can input natural language prompts (e.g., "Watch camera feed 1 and alert for people touching cables") to monitor for specific actions, compliance violations, and physical security threats without alert fatigue.
- Configuration AI: Reducing learning curves and complex menu systems, Configuration AI allows users to prompt the DCIM platform using conversational language. Operators can simply ask the software to retrieve historical data, create virtual sensors, and build custom dashboards in seconds, drastically accelerating administrative workflows and reducing training overhead.
- Asset AI: To prevent the Quicklime Digital Twin from becoming an outdated "digital orphan," Asset AI uses AI enabled image recognition to automate audits. Technicians upload a photo of a physical rack, and the AI compares it to the digital database, identifying discrepancies, comparing "before and after" states, and generating suggested updates to keep the inventory synchronized with reality.
