About the Authors
Christine Ruiz Hopkins is a proud BOI (born-on-the-island native). She has promoted Galveston for more than 30 years, writing more than 300 blogs, hosted Galveston video series, and cohosted and produced Unboxing History, a video podcast presented with the Galveston County Museum. She also serves as a local tour guide and public relations consultant.
Heidi Lutz is an award-winning writer and designer who moved to Galveston for her first job out of college and became an IBC (islander by choice). Heidi has spent half of her life on the island, working as a reporter, editor, publicist, blogger, tour guide, and active community volunteer.
