ALMS Community Health Center Brings Mobile Diagnostic Imaging to Mansfield Patients
S For Story/10698418
Advanced wireless handheld ultrasound technology expands access to diagnostic imaging through in-office appointments and qualifying home visits.
MANSFIELD, Texas - s4story -- ALMS Community Health Center is expanding healthcare access across Mansfield and the Dallas–Fort Worth area by introducing Diagnostic Imaging & Ultrasound Services, powered by advanced wireless handheld ultrasound technology. The new service allows healthcare providers to perform real-time diagnostic imaging both in the clinic and during qualifying home visits, helping patients receive timely evaluations while supporting more informed healthcare decisions.
The addition of diagnostic imaging strengthens ALMS Community Health Center's commitment to delivering comprehensive, patient-centered healthcare by integrating advanced technology with primary care, chronic disease management, pediatric care, laboratory services, advanced wound care, mental health services and preventive healthcare.
"Healthcare continues to evolve, and our goal is to make high-quality care more accessible and convenient for the communities we serve," said Sharan Allen, MSN, APRN, AGNP, VP of ALMS Community Health Center. "By incorporating advanced wireless handheld ultrasound technology into our care model, we can provide important diagnostic information closer to the patient, whether they are visiting our clinic or receiving care during a qualifying home visit."

Unlike traditional ultrasound systems that are limited to imaging departments, handheld ultrasound technology enables providers to perform real-time diagnostic evaluations at the point of care. This flexibility helps reduce unnecessary delays, supports clinical decision-making and enhances coordination between providers and patients.
Diagnostic Imaging & Ultrasound Services may support a wide range of healthcare needs, including:
* Primary care evaluations
* Chronic disease management
* Advanced wound care assessments
* Pediatric healthcare
* Preventive healthcare
* Additional diagnostic evaluations when clinically appropriate
By combining diagnostic imaging with laboratory testing and coordinated clinical care, ALMS Community Health Center helps patients receive a more complete evaluation while reducing the need for multiple appointments at different locations whenever possible.
The new service also supports ALMS Community Health Center's growing home visit program. For qualifying patients who have difficulty traveling due to health conditions, mobility challenges or other circumstances, providers may perform ultrasound evaluations during home visits when medically appropriate, improving convenience while maintaining continuity of care.

"Our mission has always been to remove barriers to healthcare," Allen added. "Whether patients receive care in our clinic or in the comfort of their home, we want them to have access to advanced diagnostic technology that supports timely, informed healthcare decisions."
As ALMS Community Health Center continues expanding its comprehensive healthcare services, the organization remains focused on delivering compassionate, coordinated care that meets patients where they are while embracing innovative technologies that improve access, efficiency, and patient outcomes.
