Lineus Medical Renews Agreement with Vizient, Delivering Enhanced Value for Vizient Members
S For Story/10697533
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - s4story -- Lineus Medical, a leader in vascular access innovation and maker of SafeBreak® Vascular, the first breakaway device for IV lines, today announced the renewal of its agreement with Vizient, one of the nation's largest group purchasing organization (GPO). The renewed contract delivers more competitive pricing for Vizient members, expanding access to SafeBreak Vascular across health systems nationwide.
The agreement enables Vizient member hospitals to procure SafeBreak Vascular at advantaged pricing, lowering the barrier to adoption for health systems focused on reducing IV complications, protecting patients, and driving clinical and economic value at the bedside.
"This renewal reflects our commitment to making SafeBreak Vascular accessible to every nurse and patient," said Vance Clement, Chief Executive Officer of Lineus Medical. "Our mission is to remove the pains associated with medical lines, and our Vizient agreement allows us to run that mission into action at scale."
"The Vizient relationship is a critical part of our commercial strategy," said Larry Hayes, Chief Commercial Officer of Lineus Medical. "More competitive pricing means more health systems can say "Yes" to SafeBreak Vascular. That translates directly into more patients protected, more nurses supported, and improved clinical and economic outcomes for every hospital that utilizes SafeBreak."

SafeBreak® Vascular is a breakaway device for IV lines that separates when a damaging force is applied to the IV line to remove the damaging force and protect the patient's IV line. When separation occurs, valves on both ends of the device close to prevent medication spills from the pump and blood loss from the patient. SafeBreak has been shown to reduce mechanical IV complications in a range of 44% to 91%.1 The device is FDA-cleared for use across all vascular access lines, CE Mark certified for use across the European Union, and is distributed across markets spanning more than three continents.
